Day 9/31 Days of Five Minute Free Writes 2017: PLAN

Day 9

I love using my daily planner.  I love being able to check off tasks from my to-do list, and even if it wasn’t on there to begin with, I’ll write it down just to get the satisfaction of checking it off.  Admittedly, I write lots of things down that don’t get checked off for a long time, particularly if I find the task to be boring or requires me to talk on the phone.  Call a yard guy to come aerate the lawn?  UGH.  Do I have to call him??  I know that part of being an adult and stay at home mom require me to handle these kinds of tasks while my husband is running around the hospital taking care of patients.  I often make plans at the start of the day, which subsequently get tossed just like my daughter’s milk cup at the end of a meal.  Other things pop up, the weather changes, or I simply get distracted.  Since moving to Charlotte at the end of July, I’ve made verbal plans with friends who live here, which have not yet actually happened.  It makes me sad.  My challenge is to follow through on these plans and make the most of each moment.FMFpic

About miccahmarie

I got my first Diary when I was 10. I couldn't wait to write in it at night to divulge all of the details of my day onto paper with my turquoise pen. I now find that writing has become therapeutic for me. I need time to think and sort out what is going on inside and often when I'm most emotionally heightened is when I write most creatively. My years of journaling are a compilation of written out prayers as well as lamenting poems. Now as a wife and mother, my perspectives have changed, as I reflect on who I was and who God is making me to be.
